SyntaxNet, which Google calls the “world’s most accurate parser,” breaks down a given sentence into words and analyzes syntactic relationships between them to better understand the meaning.

The company also introduced ‘Parsey McParseface’ along with the SyntaxNet. It is an English parser that, as per Google, is “built on powerful machine learning algorithms that learn to analyze the linguistic structure of language, and that can explain the functional role of each word in a given sentence.”

Google says Parsey McParseface has achieved 94% accuracy in understanding English newswire sentences. This is very close as compared to the firm’s in-house human linguistic test results of 96-97%. However, it still remains at around 90% accurate when it comes to analyzing random sentences from the Web.
